Hills Harvest Boxes was started because the cost of living was on the rise with no finish line in sight!

In our search for cheaper, healthier and long lasting fruit and vegetables we found out the truth about the state of the produce industry in Australia.

Over 30% of all farm fresh food produce goes to waste and often doesn't even leave the farm itself due to unrealistic beauty standards of the produce by the big supermarkets and other shops.

 

The rate of pay for the farmers and growers was already an issue, because of unfair standards and unfair pay rates. So seeing struggling farmers also having to bare the brunt of waste management of these products and the massive amounts of waste didn't seem right or fair to anyone.

We help our farmers and growers directly by helping pay them a proper wage as well as help with waste by using the "un-pretty" fruit and vegetables. We also take care of our customers by not being profit driven but community minded and saving our customers on average 30-50% on regular retail prices.
